What is it?
The Tommee Tippee Grofriend is a rechargeable Light and Sound Sleep Aids. This means that the cuddly toy has a number of features that will help your little one sleep and be soothed. The device comes in three different styles (Ollie The Owl / Bennie The Bear / Pip the Panda)

How it works?
By pressing one of the buttons on their paws, you will be greeted by a couple fantastic features. You have the option of 3 lullabies on one paw or 3 soothing natural sounds (heartbeat, rainfall and white noise) on another paw. The remaining two paws offer a nightlight with 3 brightness settings and the last paw will change the volume. The sound will play for 20 minutes at a time and the night light will last for 30 minutes
How you power it?
This device is re-chargeable so you don’t need to stock up on batteries! You will receive a USB cable with the Grofriend so once you’ve charged it up, it’s ready to go for a long time.

The Tommee Tippee Rechargeable Grofriend features intelligent CrySensor technology which means it will activate when your baby starts making noise or crying.
Our thoughts
We bought this device with no previous research and haven’t looked back once! We can’t give any direct personal comparisons as we haven’t needed to use a different sleep aid. I think that speaks volumes on how well received the Grofriend (Bennie the Bear in particular) has been in our house. Our little one uses this fantastic device every time she sleeps (naps and bedtime), and she’s a brilliant sleeper.
Being so lightweight and rechargeable makes this device great to take out with you, and it even features a strap that can attach it to a pram etc. The device does come in a smaller travel version however, the main Grofriend does the job in our opinion. I’ve seen people say it’s worth having both devices but honestly, save your money and stick with the larger grofriend.
It’s nice that the Grofriend comes in 3 different styles, as we mentioned our choice was Bennie The Bear for our little girl. This device will become a main part in your routine once you have one, and your little one will certainly have a new best friend!
